Vinyl Institute Welcomes Kevin Mulvaney as VP of Marketing & Communications
ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 17, 2010 — The Vinyl Institute announces the hiring of Kevin Mulvaney as its new Vice President of Marketing & Communications. Kevin’s first day of employment with The Vinyl Institute will be September 1st.
Kevin will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, projects, and events for the Vinyl Institute that will promote the use of PVC and the benefits of vinyl products, working with VI members, allied trade groups, vinyl product manufacturers, and the architect and design community.
He will also plan and coordinate the Vinyl Institute’s presence at trade shows, conferences, and other events, be responsible for the development and production of collateral marketing materials, and manage the work of independent consultants working for the association.
Most recently, Kevin has been the Director of Advancement for the American Institute of Architecture Students. There he worked with deans and administrators of architecture schools, architecture firms and organizations, product manufacturers, and corporate and non-profit groups on partnership opportunities that aided and educated architecture students on building materials and projects.
Before his position with AIAS, Kevin managed outside sales, marketing, and communication activities for Advantage Media Group in Charleston, S.C. Previous positions include serving as the Project Manager of Finance and Communications with Florida Oncology Associates in Jacksonville, Fla., and the Development Officer for Stewardship with the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
